DESCRIPTION
Interactive HTML Learning Resources for Power Electronics is a collection of thirteen interactive HTML laboratories by Alejandro Gómez Yepes, Universidade de Vigo, for university-level learning of power electronics, instructor demonstrations, guided activities and independent study.
Version 1.0.1 contains laboratories on power semiconductor devices; control and protection in power electronics; mean and RMS value calculation; Fourier harmonic decomposition; three-phase electrical system review; four uncontrolled rectifiers; and four controlled rectifiers. Each rectifier group includes single-phase half-wave, single-phase full-wave, three-phase half-wave and three-phase full-wave circuits.
The interfaces are available in English, Spanish and Galician. The HTML files contain their own interface, styling and scripts. Start from index.html to choose a laboratory; individual laboratories can also be opened directly in a modern browser with JavaScript enabled. Keep the delivered HTML filenames together to preserve the index links and links between laboratories.
Prerequisites are basic circuit analysis, resistor/inductor/capacitor behavior, elementary algebra and trigonometry, and sinusoidal AC signals. The three review laboratories support revision of mean/RMS values, Fourier harmonics and three-phase systems. Learners are encouraged to read the explanations and model assumptions, predict outcomes, vary parameters, compare plots and calculated values, and explain their observations. Activities, questions and export tools vary by laboratory. Twelve laboratories retain notes and assessment records only in local browser storage when it is available; the RMS/mean laboratory (03) keeps them only in the open page. Export a copy before reloading, closing, moving or replacing files. Numerical CSVs and self-assessment TXT records are separate in Fourier and the rectifier laboratories; offline and hosted browser work does not automatically transfer or synchronise.
Dedicated laboratories on inverters and DC/DC converters are planned for future versions. Version 1.0.1 contains the thirteen laboratories described above. Some controlled-rectifier laboratories already address inverting operation under suitable circuit conditions. The package includes a browser-readable documentation page, user guide, collection description and model limits, citation instructions, change log, exact file manifest, SHA-256 checksums and licence notices.
Original educational content and diagrams are licensed under CC BY 4.0; original implementation code is licensed under MIT. Educational text and questions embedded in scripts remain CC BY 4.0. The licences apply to different components, not as alternatives for complete HTML files. Third-party material retains its own terms. The release package includes the full terms and scope statement.
The author used ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic) as AI tools to help generate and refine the HTML resources. Their use is acknowledged in the HTML files and does not imply company collaboration or endorsement. Alejandro Gómez Yepes is the named author; Universidade de Vigo is his affiliation.
LICENCES AND RIGHTS
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC-BY-4.0): original educational content and diagrams, including educational text and question-bank material embedded in scripts, original explanatory documentation and collection metadata.
MIT License (MIT): original implementation code, comprising JavaScript application logic, CSS and structural HTML. Diagram-generation code is MIT; original educational visual content is CC BY 4.0.
These licences apply to different components, not as alternative licences for complete HTML files. The grants cover only rights the author is entitled to license. Third-party material and linked references retain their own terms.
Both licences permit commercial reuse subject to their terms. Preserve the content attribution, licence link and change notices required by CC BY 4.0, and the copyright and permission notice required by MIT. See LICENSING.txt, LICENSE-CONTENT.txt, LICENSE-CODE.txt and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.txt in the release package.
The Zenodo record carries both licences with these component-specific scopes. Educational content and implementation code remain separate grants within the same files.

RELEASE AND ARCHIVE POLICY
Version 1.0.1 corrects documentation and publication metadata. It retains the thirteen laboratories, educational models, question banks, application logic, saved-work keys and export schemas. The DOI was reserved for this new version of the same Zenodo collection before the package was frozen. GitHub and Zenodo distribute the identical ZIP and companion SHA-256 file.
The original version 1.0 release was first published on 2026-10-07 and archived on Zenodo on 2026-10-08, under DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23244291. Its tag, ZIP, companion checksum and Zenodo record remain unchanged. Later additions or corrections receive another release and a new version of the same Zenodo collection; the concept DOI remains 10.5281/zenodo.23244290.
